Twins Spring Training: What you need to know

The Twins' first Spring Training under new manager Rocco Baldelli is scheduled to begin in a little more than a week in Fort Myers, Fla., with the first workout for pitchers and catchers scheduled for Feb. 14. Here's some important information to know about the Twins' roster and their 33-game spring schedule.

Can fans attend workouts?
Yes. The Twins open the left-field area and Minor League fields at the CenturyLink Sports Complex.
Twins Spring Training schedule
First game
Feb. 23 at Orioles, 12:05 p.m. CT/vs. Rays, 5:05 p.m. CT. The Twins play a pair of split-squad games to open Grapefruit League play, including Opening Night at the CenturyLink Sports Complex in a night game against Tampa Bay.
First TV game
March 1 vs. Red Sox, 12:05 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on FOX Sports North, with longtime Minnesota TV reporter Marney Gellner handling play-by-play duties.
One other notable game
March 24 vs. Yankees, 12:05 p.m. CT
Last game in Florida
March 26 vs. Rockies, 1:05 p.m. CT. The Rockies make their first ever trip to Fort Myers to close out the Twins' Spring Training schedule.
Any additional exhibitions before the regular season?
The Twins play the Rochester Red Wings, their Triple-A affiliate, on March 25 at 12:05 p.m. CT, following the conclusion of the Grapefruit League schedule.
