Twins to return Plouffe from rehab and reinstate from disabled list

The Minnesota Twins announced tonight that they will return infielder Trevor Plouffe from his rehab assignment and reinstate him from the 15-day disabled list, prior to tomorrow night's game in Houston.

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced tonight that they will return infielder Trevor Plouffe from his rehab assignment and reinstate him from the 15-day disabled list, prior to tomorrow night's game in Houston. He has missed the Twins last 14 games with a right intercostal strain. He played two games for Single-A Ft. Myers on his rehab assignment.
To make room for Plouffe on the 25-man roster, the Twins have optioned infielder Jorge Polancoto Triple-A Rochester.
