MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins announced plans on Tuesday for their annual TwinsFest, which will be held at Target Field for a fourth straight year from Jan. 27-29.
TwinsFest, which began in 1989 and was previously held at the Metrodome until moving to Target Field in 2014, is one of the largest fundraisers for the Twins Community Fund. It's set to feature more than 60 current, former and future Twins players.
The Twins explored moving the event to U.S. Bank Stadium, the home of the Vikings, but with the Super Bowl coming to Minneapolis in 2018, they didn't want to have to cycle through venues in the coming years, so they'll stick with Target Field as the home of TwinsFest until at least '19.

"We're excited to again host TwinsFest at Target Field, the capital of Twins Territory," Twins president Dave St. Peter said. "As always, TwinsFest will serve as the unofficial start to a new baseball season while also helping raise significant proceeds for the Twins Community Fund and its many worthwhile programs across Twins Territory."
One change this year is the addition of TwinsFest's first-ever beer garden, presented by Goose Island. It's a family-friendly space that will include craft brews, root beer floats, yard games, pub games and a radio stage hosted by Go Media.
There's also a Sunday brunch with T.C. Bear with tickets that include a breakfast buffet and a photo with T.C. Bear. Tickets are $34.95 for adults and $19.95 for children 12 months and younger.
Other popular attractions remain, including player autograph sessions, photo opportunities and the sports memorabilia/collector's show in the bottom floor of Target Field. The "yard sale" also returns, with fans getting the chance to purchase interesting team-issued gear, including game-worn memorabilia and promotional items.
Fans can also go on self-guided clubhouse tours, take batting practice in the cages and purchase a ticket for a white-glove tour of the Twins' archive room. There are also several interactive events such as Q&As with players and broadcasters, as well as games like bingo and fan feud for children to play with Twins players in the boardwalk area.
Tickets for TwinsFest go on sale Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. CT and will cost $20 for adults and $10 for kids 14 and younger. Ticket purchases can be made online at www.twinsbaseball.com or by calling 612-33-TWINS, as well as at the Target Field box office and Twins pro shops.
