Double-A Jackson kicked off the Southern League Finals with a win on Monday, and as has been the case all year, it was Tyler O'Neill who delivered the clutch hit.
O'Neill, the Mariners' No. 2 prospect, broke a 3-3 tie when he connected on a two-run double with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning, as Jackson went on to defeat Mississippi, 6-4. He finished 2-for-5, which actually lowered his postseason average to .450. He's accrued eight RBIs, thanks in part to three home runs, in five playoff games.

Ranked No. 63 on the Top 100, O'Neill, 21, was named Southern League MVP in 2016 after he batted .293/.374/.508 and ranked among the top two on the circuit with 24 home runs (second), 102 RBIs (first) and 250 total bases (first).
Pacing the Generals on the mound was right-hander Andrew Moore (Mariners' No. 10), who yielded two earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts over six innings. He demonstrated his usual outstanding command by throwing 60 of his 90 pitches for strikes without issuing a walk. All together, the 22-year-old has allowed two earned runs in 15 innings across two postseason starts.

• Three infield errors spoiled a strong performance by No. 96 overall prospect Mike Soroka and cost Class A Rome Game 1 of the South Atlantic League finals. The Braves' No. 6 prospect allowed four unearned runs on six hits with six strikeouts in seven innings, and threw 66 of his 90 pitches for strikes. He also recorded 16 ground-ball outs (including the errors), though it wasn't enough to keep Rome falling to Lakewood, 5-0.
• D-backs No. 20 prospectVictor Reyes continued his torrid postseason with a 2-for-4 performance that included a home run and three RBIs, as Visalia completed a sweep of Bakersfield with a 6-2 victory to advance to the California League Finals. The 21-year-old switch-hitter owns a .583 average (7-for-12) through three playoff contests.
• Mariners No. 3 prospect Drew Jackson accounted for most of Class A Advanced Bakersfield's offense in a season-ending loss against Visalia, going 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double. The 2015 fifth-rounder hit safely in all six postseason games -- highlighted by a trio of three-hit performances -- and batted .481 with five extra-base hits.
• Mariners No. 4 prospect Nick Neidert allowed three hits over seven scoreless innings with nine strikeouts for the second time in as many playoff starts for Class A Clinton. The LumberKings walked it off against Cedar Rapids in 11 innings to advance to the Midwest League finals. 2014 first-rounder Alex Jackson (Mariners' No. 6) was one of three LumberKings to collect multiple hits in the victory and is batting .350 this postseason after going 2-for-5 with two doubles in the victory.
• Phillies No. 9 prospect Franklyn Kilome didn't allow a hit until the fifth inning, and it was the only knock he'd allow over seven scoreless frames. The 21-year-old righty was electric, racking up nine strikeouts against two walks to pace Class A Lakewood in a 5-0 shutout of Rome in Game 1 of the South Atlantic League finals. Kilome has thrown 20 scoreless innings across his past three starts dating back to the regular season, with 24 strikeouts and just eight hits allowed in that span.
"I felt really good. It might have been my best game," Kilome told MiLB.com. "It was important to win Game 1, so I definitely wanted to be well. My curveball was good. Very good."

• Rangers No. 15 prospect Michael De Leon tallied four RBIs in his first two at-bats to help power Class A Advanced High Desert to a 9-4 victory over Lancaster and take a 2-1 series lead in the best-of-five California League finals. The 19-year-old switch-hitter plated a pair with a triple in the top of the second and then added a two-run homer in the following frame, finishing 2-for-4. Also collecting two hits for the Mavericks were Jairo Beras (Rangers' No. 12) and Josh Morgan (Rangers' No. 13), with the latter also scoring twice and notching an RBI.
• Tigers No. 16 prospect Sandy Baez worked 7 2/3 innings and matched his season high with eight strikeouts to lead Class A West Michigan past Great Lakes, 5-3, setting the stage for a decisive Game 3 in the Midwest League division finals on Tuesday. The 22-year-old right-hander permitted three earned runs on seven hits and three walks while throwing a season-high 107 pitches (70 strikes).
