This will mark the second career All-Star assignment for Reynolds (2004), Marquez (2006) and Fletcher (2005), and the first for Muchlinski and Blaser. The Replay Official who will be based in the Replay Operations Center at MLB Advanced Media during the 2018 All-Star Game will be Marvin Hudson, a 20-year Major League Umpire. National League All-Star manager Dave Roberts of the Los Angeles Dodgers has invited manager Dave Martinez of the host Washington Nationals and Colorado Rockies manager Bud Black to join his NL staff. Martinez, who played 16 seasons in the Majors, is in his first season at the helm of the Nationals. As Joe Maddon's bench coach, he served on the AL coaching staff at the 2009 Midsummer Classic in St. Louis and on the NL coaching staff at last year's All-Star Game in Miami. Black, who played parts of 15 seasons in the Majors, was invited to coach on Clint Hurdle's staff at the 2008 Midsummer Classic at Yankee Stadium and on Charlie Manuel's staff at the 2010 All-Star Game in Anaheim. In addition, Black was part of Mike Scioscia's Angels' coaching staff at the 2003 Midsummer Classic in Chicago.
