FOX Sports Southwest and the Texas Rangers announced today the University of Texas has been added to the Texas Rangers University Days special ticket promotion this season.
 
UT Night at Globe Life Park in Arlington will be July 28 when the Rangers take on the defending World Series champion Kansas City Royals.
 
The promotion includes reduced ticket prices for students and alumni to attend the game on July 28. The first 1,000 Texas fans to show their special event ticket at the designated cap redemption area on game day will receive a burnt orange UT-themed Rangers hat.
 
Students and alumni can purchase the exclusive ticket discounts online. Tickets must be purchased through www.texasrangers.com/udays to be eligible for the caps.
 
UT Night also will feature on-field pregame participation by the school's coaches, players or noted alumni and recognition of the university on FOX Sports Southwest's live game broadcast.
 
FOX Sports Southwest has offered the Texas Rangers University Days ticket promotion to universities in Texas and Oklahoma since 2014. This marks Texas' first season of participation.
 
Texas joins other participating universities in 2016, including UT Arlington, Baylor, North Texas, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas A&M, TCU and Texas Tech.
 
The FOX Sports Southwest Rangers Fan Express VIP luxury bus will be integrated into the promotion.

• Baylor: June 24 vs. Boston
• Texas A&M: July 8 vs. Minnesota
• Texas: July 28 vs. Kanas City
• UT Arlington: Aug. 26 vs. Cleveland
