CHICAGO -- Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre has played in four All-Star Games. Elvis Andrus has played in two.
Both are off to good starts this season, putting them in position to get noticed right away as the 2016 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot was revealed online Sunday. The 2016 All-Star Game presented by MasterCard is July 12 at San Diego's Petco Park.
Beltre entered Sunday's game hitting .333, sixth best in the American League, with three home runs, 12 RBIs and a .551 slugging percentage. He is also playing superb defense, which is expected from a four-time Gold Glove Award winner.

Andrus played in the All-Star Game in 2010 and '12. His chances of returning are enhanced by going into Sunday ninth in the league with a .321 batting average.
The Rangers have four position players on their active roster who have played in the All-Star Game. Ian Desmond was an All-Star for the Nationals in 2012 and Prince Fielder has been in six games, including last year for the Rangers.
Rougned Odor has yet to play in an All-Star Game, but don't overlook him even if he is only hitting .250 with a .284 on-base percentage and a .406 slugging percentage entering Sunday. This is a guy who can get hot quickly, just like he did at the end of last season.
Browsing the ballot
The other side: There are some nice young third basemen in the game, but the guy who has led the position's resurgence over the past few years is Nolan Arenado of the Rockies. He is a three-time Gold Glove Award winner who had a breakout offensive season in 2015, and it's time he be recognized as one of the top players in the game.
Tip of the cap: The Orioles have been one of the surprise teams in the AL, and one of the reasons is outfielder Mark Trumbo. He went into Sunday hitting .381 with five home runs, 15 RBIs and a .667 slugging percentage. He has been a nice acquisition for the Orioles.
A rising star:Trevor Story came right out of the Rangers' backyard, the 45th overall pick in the 2011 First-Year Player Draft out of Irving High School. It will be a challenge for him to keep up his historic start as a rookie, but what a great -- sorry -- story it would be if he made it to the All-Star Game.
