Plenty of pivotal matchups that could have postseason implications will take place Monday as part of an eight-game schedule streaming live on MLB.TV.
The Mariners and Rangers, who are trying to separate themselves from a handful of teams in the American League Wild Card race, begin a four-game series in Arlington at 8:05 p.m. ET. The Mariners are three games back of the second Wild Card spot, while the Rangers are 2 1/2 games back.

Left-hander Ariel Miranda gets the nod for the Mariners, while Cole Hamels gets the start for the Rangers. Hamels is 6-0 with a 3.39 ERA in nine home starts this season.

While this game was originally scheduled to be played at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, the clubs will now play their three-game series at Citi Field because of Hurricane Irma.
"I think it makes a lot of sense," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. "It's easy travel, in a sense, for both teams. They're coming from Boston. I know Tampa doesn't want to lose home games, but I think there was some risk we wouldn't maybe play till Wednesday, then you'd have a doubleheader, then probably a doubleheader at our place. So I think [MLB] made a good decision."
Carsten Sabathia gets the nod for the Yankees. The left-hander allowed five runs on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings for the no-decision on Tuesday vs. Orioles.
The Rays send Jake Odorizzi to the mound. He had a no-hit bid through 6 1/3 innings on Tuesday against the Twins. It marked his first scoreless start of at least 6 2/3 innings this season.

The Brewers, coming off an impressive three-game sweep of the Cubs, are now just two games back of Chicago in the NL Central and three games back of the second Wild Card spot.
So, really, every series the rest of the way is big for the Brewers, who will turn to impressive rookie Brandon Woodruff (1-1, 1.52) in the series opener agianst the Bucs.
NL West rivals square-off: COL@ARI, 9:40 p.m., MLB.TV
The Rockies and D-backs begin a three-game set in Phoenix as they battle for the top spot in the National League Wild Card. While Arizona holds a five-game lead over the Rockies for the top spot, a strong series would certainly put the Rockies right back in the conversation.
Kyle Freeland gets the nod for Colorado. He's had trouble going deep in his last two starts. On Sept. 1 against the D-backs, he allowed three runs on five hits over four innings for the loss.
Arizona right-hander Zack Greinke has been close to unhittable at home this season. He's 13-1 with a 2.31 ERA in 16 starts (12 quality). In his last 13 starts, the right-hander is 2-0 with a 1.83 ERA.
