Team to watch
Though the Dodgers' top two prospects, right-hander Walker Buehler and outfielder Alex Verdugo, are teaming up at Triple-A Oklahoma City, Double-A Tulsa is even more loaded. The Drillers feature the best catching tandem in the Minors in Keibert Ruiz and Will Smith, an imposing slugger in outfielder D.J. Peters (the 2017 high Class A California League MVP) and a pair of flamethrowing righties in Yadier Alvarez and Dennis Santana. Once they're deemed ready to leave extended spring training, righty Mitchell White and Yusniel Diaz will arrive in Tulsa, giving the Drillers seven of the system's 10 best prospects.

New faces
Right-hander Morgan Cooper, a second-rounder last June, has yet to make his pro debut after coming down with shoulder tendinitis last summer.

On the shelf
The Dodgers are playing it safe with several of their top prospects, keeping them in extended spring training for brief periods at the start of the season after they came down with minor dings this spring. That group includes: White and Diaz, who will head to Tulsa; corner infielders Edwin Rios and Matt Beaty (the 2017 Double-A Texas League MVP), ticketed for Oklahoma City when ready; and right-hander Dustin May, who will be assigned to high Class A Rancho Cucamonga. Cooper still is sidelined and will embark on a throwing program later this month.
