Who really won London Series: The Cubs' brisket sandwich or the Cards' donut burger?

July 21st, 2023

When the London Series took place last month, the Cubs and Cardinals weren't the only things brought over from the United States for fans -- there was the food, too. Among the bevy of food options there was a downright smorgasbord of American ballpark-style foodstuffs including nachos, pizzas, and giant three-foot hot dogs. Each team also brought a signature food that was supposed to represent their home ballpark: For the Cubs, there was a cheesy brisket sandwich while the St. Louis donut burger featured a beef patty nestled between a split UK-style raspberry donut.

Which one was better? While you could have a simple taste test, chef, internet personality and all-around-chaos-agent Will Hughes -- better known online as "What Willy Cook" -- had a different idea: Which one would entice the most fans to order it? For that, he turned to Mam Sham, who puts on the country's best food-and-comedy events, and UK hip-hop artist Formz to hawk each signature bite. Whoever could entice the most fans to order their selection would be the winner.

While you'll need to watch the video at the top of the story to find out, we side with the one baseball fan who agreed to switch team allegiances for his culinary option: "Sometimes the food is too good for rivalry."
