CHICAGO -- The White Sox claimed left-handed reliever Ryan Rolison off waivers from the Braves, the club announced Friday, bringing their 40-man roster to 38.
Rolison, 28, made his Major League debut with the Rockies in 2025, posting a 1-0 record with a 7.02 ERA and 25 strikeouts over 42 1/3 innings in 31 appearances (one start). He also appeared in 20 games (one start) with Triple-A Albuquerque, finishing 3-1 with a 3.34 ERA.
Friday’s addition of Rolison followed the White Sox picking up right-handed pitcher Jedixson Paez from the Red Sox organization with the second overall selection in the Major League phase of the 2025 Rule 5 Draft on Wednesday. They also added right-hander Alexander Alberto from the Rays organization with the 13th selection.
Brandon Eisert, Tyler Gilbert, Chris Murphy and Bryan Hudson already were on the White Sox 40-man as southpaw relief options prior to Rolison’s claim.
