BALTIMORE -- The White Sox placed pitcher Daniel Webb on the 15-day disabled list before Friday's game against the Orioles and recalled Tommy Kahnle from Triple-A Charlotte.
Webb was put on the DL with right elbow flexor inflammation. His first action of the year came in the White Sox 10-2 loss to the Orioles on Thursday in which he gave up two hits with three strikeouts in one inning.
Kahnle comes up from Charlotte, where he was 0-0 with a 3.00 ERA in nine innings over seven appearances, all of which came in relief.
