CHICAGO -- To use a well-known home run phrase coined by 2020 Ford C. Frick Award winner Ken “Hawk” Harrelson, there have been quite a few momentous “You can put it on the board ... Yes!” instances for the White Sox during this past decade.

Here’s a look at those top 10 White Sox home runs during that time, with a few exciting homers just missing the cut.

1) Konerko’s 400th home run
April 25, 2012

Not only did the White Sox captain reach a career milestone, but Paul Konerko also tied the game in Oakland by connecting on a 92 mph fastball from Grant Balfour on the first pitch of the ninth inning. His blast earned a “Hell yes!” “Mercy!” and “Wow!” from Harrelson. The White Sox eventually lost the contest, 5-4 in 14 innings.

2) Abreu walks off the Rays
April 25, 2014

Balfour once again played a role in the White Sox long-ball theatrics, only this time he was pitching for the Rays. José Abreu capped off a five-run bottom half of the ninth with his opposite-field grand slam, erasing a 6-4 Rays lead produced by Evan Longoria’s two-run homer off of Matt Lindstrom in the top of the ninth. 3) Eloy beats his old team
June 18, 2019

Much like the Abreu homer, this Eloy Jiménez blast made several "best of the decade" lists for the White Sox. Jiménez broke a 1-1 tie in the ninth inning against the Cubs, the team who traded him to the White Sox as part of a four-player return for José Quintana in 2017, with a two-run blast off of reliever Pedro Strop. The ball would have left Wrigley Field if not for Jiménez breaking his bat upon contact.

4) Anderson walks off the Tigers
April 26, 2019

Tim Anderson’s home run off of Kansas City’s Brad Keller on April 17 drew more notoriety because of Anderson being hit by a Keller pitch in his next at-bat leading off the sixth in apparent reaction to his prior home run celebration. But this one against Detroit’s Joe Jiménez was a game-winner, with the White Sox rallying from an 8-1 deficit and leading to a javelin-like victory throw of the bat from the White Sox shortstop.

5) Dunn’s 400th home run
Aug. 18, 2012

Adam Dunn’s 400th career home run came a little less than four months after Konerko connected in Oakland, making them the first teammates to hit No. 400 in the same season. The left-handed slugger connected off of Kansas City southpaw Tim Collins with one out and one on in the eighth inning, cutting the Royals’ lead to 5-4 at Kauffman Stadium. Harrelson even gave the designated hitter a “He done did it!” and a “Mercy!” on the broadcast in honor of the accomplishment. 6) Konerko gets knocked down, gets up again
Sept. 16, 2010

Minnesota starter Carl Pavano hit Konerko in the face with an 89 mph pitch during the first inning of this 8-5 Twins victory. Konerko was checked out, but he eventually got himself up and trotted down to first. In his next at-bat with two outs in the third, Konerko went deep to left on the first pitch and earned a “Take that, Pavano!” from Harrelson on the broadcast. Watch >>

7) Davidson opens with three
March 29, 2018

The White Sox connected for six home runs during this 14-7 Opening Day victory at Kauffman Stadium, and three of them came from Matt Davidson. Danny Duffy, Blaine Boyer and Brian Flynn surrendered his home runs, with Davidson hitting seven homers in Kansas City that season. He only hit five at his home ballpark. An honorable mention goes to Dan Johnson, who hit three home runs for the White Sox in Cleveland on Oct. 3, 2012, for his only three homers that season after a September callup.

8) Abreu walks off for a sweep
July 3, 2019

Abreu’s three-run shot to left came off of Detroit reliever Nick Ramirez with two outs in the 12th, giving the White Sox a 9-6 walk-off victory and a sweep of the doubleheader. Yoán Moncada homered in the 10th to tie the game off of then-closer Shane Greene, after Dylan Cease earned his first career victory in his first career start during Game 1. The White Sox improved to 41-42 thanks to Abreu’s heroics.

9) Dunn keeps White Sox in first
Sept. 24, 2012

The White Sox topped the AL Central for 117 days in 2012, and their last solo lead came courtesy of this Dunn eighth-inning home run off of Vinnie Pestano. Dunn’s three-run shot, marking his second of the game and 41st of the season, erased a 3-2 deficit. Watch >>

10) Jordan Danks’ first homer, first walk-off
Aug. 10, 2012

Jordan Danks, whose brother John pitched from 2007-16 for the White Sox, picked a good time for his first career home run. His no-doubter to right off of Oakland’s Pat Neshek with two outs in the ninth produced a 4-3 victory and raised the AL Central leader’s record to 61-50. Watch >>
