MILWAUKEE -- belted a three-run, first-inning homer and Logan Henderson pitched five scoreless innings as the Brewers cruised to a 5-1 win over the Dodgers on Friday night at American Family Field in a rematch of last season’s National League Championship Series.

After Jackson Chourio and Brice Turang hit consecutive singles to begin the first, Contreras belted a Statcast-projected 410-foot homer to left, his fourth round-tripper of the season, to stake the Brewers to an early 3-0 lead against Dodgers starter Justin Wrobleski, who came in with a 2.49 ERA.

Sal Frelick’s sacrifice fly later in the inning pushed the advantage to 4-0, as Milwaukee sent 10 batters to the plate. Andrew Vaughn’s run-scoring double in the second made it 5-0.

The Brewers have gone 12-2 over their last 14 contests and were coming off a three-game sweep of the rival Cubs at Wrigley Field. Milwaukee went 6-0 against Los Angeles in the 2025 regular season before being swept in the NLCS.

Henderson, making his fifth start of the season, faced the minimum number of batters through three innings before giving up a leadoff single to Shohei Ohtani in the fourth. The Dodgers loaded the bases in the inning with two outs, but Henderson got Max Muncy to pop out to end the threat.

Henderson gave up just two hits, walked three and struck out seven in the 85-pitch outing (57 strikes).
