Wintrust Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: WTFC) and the Chicago White Sox today announced the extension of their partnership, building on a shared commitment to community engagement, family experiences, and youth-focused initiatives across Chicago.
“Baseball in Chicago has always had a unique ability to bring people and communities together, and we’re proud to continue our relationship with the White Sox,” said Tim Crane, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wintrust Financial Corporation. “This partnership reflects the kind of community engagement that matters deeply to our organization.”
Wintrust is the new sponsor of the family-focused Kids Zone, located above the left-field concourse of Rate Field. The partnership includes new enhancements to the 15,000-square-foot space, most notably Southpaw’s Clubhouse, an interactive area featuring kid-friendly artwork and fun facts celebrating White Sox history. The Wintrust Kids Zone also features regular visits from the club’s fuzzy green mascot, a youth-sized baseball diamond, batting and pitching cages and opportunities all season for young White Sox fans to learn the fundamentals of baseball from White Sox Youth Instructors.
On every White Sox Family Sunday, presented by Coca-Cola, families also can enjoy additional Wintrust activations, including fast passes for Postgame Kids Run the Bases for members of the Wintrust Junior Savers Club.
“We’re excited to build upon our longstanding partnership with Wintrust and work together on experiences that engage our fans and their families in meaningful ways,” said George McDoniel, White Sox senior director of corporate partnerships. “The Wintrust Kids Zone creates a fun, welcoming experience where young fans and their families can enjoy themselves, while learning the fundamentals of the game and building lasting memories at the ballpark.”
Throughout the season, Wintrust and the White Sox will collaborate on a variety of community-focused activations, including the City Connect Warmup Jersey Giveaway, presented by Wintrust on July 25 (15,000 fans), and continued support of youth-focused programs, such as the White Sox Amateur City Elite (ACE) program, which aims to provide a pathway to baseball for African American youth and offer resources and mentorship.
This season, Wintrust’s support will include equipping ACE participants with practical knowledge as they further their education, including helping them navigate the financial complexity of NIL (name, image, likeness) opportunities, career planning, and the financial decisions that come with pursuing their degree and competing at the next level.
Additional details regarding 2026 activations and events will be announced in the coming weeks.
