The Yankees have signed seven of their 2019 MLB Draft picks, including their Competitive Balance Round A pick TJ Sikkema, a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand on Friday.

New York took Sikkema, a left-hander from the University of Missuori, with the 38th overall pick they received as compensation from the Reds as part of the Sonny Gray trade last offseason. The Yankees signed Sikkema for the slot value of $1,952,300, according to a source. Sikkema, 20, was MLB Pipeline’s 57th-ranked Draft prospect entering this week as a southpaw with three effective pitches and renowned competitive fire. Sikkema finished with a 1.32 ERA over 88 2/3 innings for Missouri in 2019, striking out 101 and walking 31.

The other six picks the Yankees agreed to deals with were center fielder Jake Sanford (third round, No. 105 overall), left-hander Ken Waldichuk (fifth round, No. 165 overall), right-hander Zach Greene (eighth round, No. 255 overall), first baseman Spencer Henson (ninth round, No. 285 overall), right-hander Mitch Spence (10th round, No. 315 overall) and first baseman Jake Farrell (39th round, No. 1,185 overall). All of them signed for slot value except Greene, who signed for less, though the exact terms of his deal remain unknown.
