YANKEES TO HOST FOURTH ANNUAL

HISPANIC HERITAGE MEDIA DAY ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9

ORGANIZATION TO PROUDLY CELEBRATE HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH

The New York Yankees today announced that they will host the fourth annual Hispanic Heritage Media Day on Wednesday, September 9 at Yankee Stadium. As part of the New York Yankees’ celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, this invitation-only event for Spanish language media is a regular season-ending culmination of the monthly Spanish language press conferences that the Yankees have hosted for over two decades and recognizes the gratitude the Yankees have for the Spanish language media in their service to fans and the community.

The event will include various media opportunities held in Spanish, highlighted by a roundtable hosted by the Spanish language radio voice of the Yankees, Rickie Ricardo, and featuring Hall of Famer and five-time World Series Champion Mariano Rivera and Yankees reliever Fernando Cruz.

Additionally, Spanish language media will have separate press sessions throughout the day with Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodón and Manager Aaron Boone. Spanish language media will also have the ability to participate in media scrums with select players and coaches during Yankees batting practice.

Following the full program of activities, Spanish language media will be treated to a catered dinner from Legends Hospitality, featuring classic Latin fare as curated by Dominican native chef Carlos Monegro.

To conclude the festivities, world-renowned Latin DJ and recording artist Alex Sensation will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.

All Spanish language media attending the game that evening will also receive a customized Hispanic Heritage Media Day branded water bottle.

Media planning to attend should arrive at the Yankee Stadium Press Gate (on E. 161st Street in between Gate 4 and the Advance Ticket Windows) beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Additional information regarding the Yankees’ Hispanic Heritage Month initiatives will be released next month.
