No DL decisions yet on Puig, Liberatore

LOS ANGELES -- With a day off on Thursday, the Dodgers seemed to be buying time on Wednesday with injuries to outfielder and reliever .
Manager Dave Roberts said the disabled list was still a possibility for Puig, whose left hamstring tightened last Thursday in Washington. The outfielder pinch-hit Friday night, so a placement on the DL would be backdated to Saturday.
"He's kind of plateaued out, but as far as starting him, I'm reluctant," said Roberts. "He's still available to pinch-hit off the bench, but to play nine innings, I don't want to put him in harm's way."

Liberatore was unavailable Tuesday night after injuring his right knee while covering first base in St. Louis on Sunday night. Liberatore said he has suffered similar injuries several times in the past, when he needed only one day to bounce back.

The reliever said this time the discomfort has persisted a little longer, but he said he would try to play catch later Wednesday and didn't believe the injury was serious enough to put him on the DL. Without pitching on Wednesday, a return to action Friday night would give him four full days off.
Roberts also confirmed that , out since March back surgery, would throw three innings in a rehab start at Class A Rancho Cucamonga on Thursday. And infielder , out with a strained ribcage muscle, moved his rehab assignment from Class A to Double-A, where he joins rehabbing reliever .
