The Oakland A's are debuting four ways for families and students to enjoy a game at the Oakland Coliseum with the A's Summer Family Programs. The club is offering two Summer of Family Fun ticket deals and two summer reading programs that children can participate in to win A's tickets.
Two kids 12 and younger can get into the ballpark for free with every purchase of one adult ticket for Monday - Thursday home games from June through August. Students can also receive $10 tickets throughout the summer. Students will be asked to enter their name and school when purchasing tickets online. Both ticket offers are available for Field Level, Plaza Level, and View Level tickets.
The club also wants students to continue to read all summer long. The Summer Home Run Readers program will reward kids with two free tickets when they read four books. With the help of a parent, children can download a worksheet to track their reading. Once achieving a reading "home run," kids can submit the form online to claim their tickets.
Children can also participate in Summer Slugger, an online math and literacy program. After completing online activities, kids will receive reading incentives, like A's game tickets or a copy of the A's children's book 50 Years of Greatness.
