April 25th, 2019

Viva Los Dodgers presented by Spectrum and Coca-Cola, now in its 10th season, will kick off this Sunday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m. (auto gates open at 10:40 a.m.) prior to the 1:10 p.m. game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The family-friendly event will celebrate Mexico and will feature live music, interactive games, autograph sessions and an on-stage interview with Dodger outfielder Alex Verdugo, who was a member of the Mexican National team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.

Performing live on the Viva Los Dodgers stage will be Banda La Maravillosa, a Mexican Regional-style band formed in Los Angeles with a reputation of unmatchable energy combined with commitment to true musical excellence. Fans will also have a chance to stop by the Viva Los Dodgers autograph booth to receive an autograph from legendary Dodger coach Manny Mota starting at 11:00 am. Mota is currently in his 51th season with the Dodgers and is the longest tenured coach in Los Angeles Dodgers’ history.

Fans are also welcomed to take advantage of free on-site eye care services provided by UCLA Stein Mobile Eye Clinic. For over 40 years, the UCLA Mobile Eye Clinic has been providing free eye care services and glasses for underserved communities in Los Angeles County.

Viva Los Dodgers takes place on the last Sunday of every month two hours prior to the game. In addition to Spectrum and Coca-Cola, Dodgers partners 76, Jim Beam, Welk Resorts, California Resources Corporation and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and National Electrical Contractors Association of LA County, LA Times, UCLA Health and Your SoCal Honda Dealers will also take part in this this season-long Dodger initiative celebrating Latino culture in Los Angeles and the legacy of Latino Dodgers past and present. Each of these family friendly festivals includes a theme and is free with a game-day ticket. Player appearances and talent additions will be announced throughout the season. Previous appearances at Viva Los Dodgers have included current Dodgers Kiké Hernández and Julio Urías, as well as Dodger broadcasters Jaime Jarrín, Jorge Jarrín, Fernando Valenzuela and Pepe Yñiguez. Viva Los Dodgers culminates with La Gran Fiesta Viva Los Dodgers on Saturday, September 21.
