Andrew Triggs has surgery on hip

The surgery was performed yesterday in Vail, Col. by Dr. Marc Philippon, who repaired the labrum in Triggs' left hip.

Oakland A's right-handed pitcher Andrew Triggs had surgery on his left hip, the club announced today. The surgery was performed yesterday in Vail, Col. by Dr. Marc Philippon, who repaired the labrum in Triggs' left hip.
Triggs was in the A's Opening Day starting rotation and was 5-6 with a 4.27 ERA in 12 starts. After going 5-2 with a 2.12 ERA over his first eight starts, he went 0-4 with a 9.64 ERA over his final four before going on the disabled June 10.
