ANAHEIM – The Angels today acquired INF Vaughn Grissom from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for minor league OF Isaiah Jackson.
Grissom, 24, appeared in 96 games for Triple-A Worcester in 2025, batting .270 (100/370) with 24 doubles, 13 home runs, 48 RBI and nine stolen bases. A native of Orlando, FL, he was originally selected by Atlanta in the 11th round of the 2019 Draft out of Paul J. Hagerty HS (Oviedo, FL). He made his Major League debut with the Braves on Aug. 10, 2022 and totaled 64 regular season games for Atlanta across the 2022-23 seasons, in addition to appearing in the Postseason for the Braves in those seasons. Grissom was traded by Atlanta to Boston on Dec. 30, 2023 in exchange for LHP Chris Sale and cash considerations and appeared in 31 games for the Red Sox during the 2024 season.
Jackson, 21, was selected by the Angels in the 18th round of the 2025 Draft after playing three seasons for Arizona State University (2023-25). He made his professional debut with High-A Tri-City on August 7 and finished with a .219 (7/32) batting average with six runs, one double, one home run and four RBI in 10 games for the Dust Devils.
