The Angels today announced their 2018 Spring Training schedule. The Club will open Cactus League play February 23rd at 12:05 PM PST vs. Oakland at Hohokam Stadium before making their home debut the following afternoon vs. Milwaukee at 12:10 PM PST. The Angels will play a total of 33 games throughout the duration of Spring Training.
The Angels' Cactus League schedule features 15 contests at Tempe Diablo Stadium and 15 road games spanning Feb. 23rd through March 24th. The Halos will play a stretch of five home games in seven days from March 10-16, including featuring a March 10th matchup with the San Francisco Giants. The Halos will play host to the cross-town rival Dodgers on Wednesday, March 7th before traveling to Camelback Ranch on Thursday, March 22nd to square off with the defending National League champions.
The Halos will also have four night tilts throughout Cactus League play, two of which will be played at Tempe Diablo Stadium. The first home night game comes as part of a split squad on March 15th when the Angels host the White Sox at 6:10 PM. The Angels will then square off four days later with the Mariners at Tempe Diablo Stadium with first pitch also slated for 6:10 PM.
The 2018 Cactus League schedule features nine weekend home affairs (Fri-Sun), including the Club's final home game vs. the hometown Arizona Diamondbacks on March 24th. The Angels will then return to Anaheim Sunday, March 25th to open the annual Freeway Exhibition Series before finishing up their spring schedule with two games at Dodger Stadium (March 26-27).
