Angels to begin season at Baltimore for first time since inaugural 1961 season

ANAHEIM - Major League Baseball today announced the 2024 regular season schedule. The Angels will begin their 64th season with an Opening Day game on Thursday, March 28 at Baltimore. It will mark the earliest Opening Day in Angels history, breaking the previous mark from March 29, 2018 at Oakland. Additionally, it will be the second time the Angels begin a season against the Orioles, following the inaugural game in franchise history on April 11, 1961 at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore.

Following a six-game opening road trip against the Orioles (March 28, March 30-31) and Marlins (April 1-3) and an off day, the Angels will host the Boston Red Sox in the Home Opener at Angel Stadium on April 5. Overall, the Angels 2024 schedule features 13 total homestands and 13 road trips. 

The longest homestand of the year features 10 games in 11 days against the Athletics (July 25-28), Rockies (July 30-Aug. 1) and Mets (Aug. 2-4). The road schedule features two different three-city trips: April 12-21 (Boston/Tampa Bay/Cincinnati) and Aug. 19-29 (Kansas City/Toronto/Detroit). The Angels will conclude the regular season on Sept. 29 vs. Texas, marking the first time finishing consecutive seasons at Angel Stadium since concluding four straight campaigns at home from 2016-19.

The Angels will play 46 total Interleague games next year, including four games against the Dodgers and three games against each of the other 14 National League teams. The home Interleague schedule features visits from the Philadelphia Phillies (April 29-May 1), St. Louis Cardinals (May 13-15), San Diego Padres (June 3-5), Milwaukee Brewers (June 17-19), Colorado Rockies (July 30-Aug. 1), New York Mets (Aug. 2-4) and Atlanta Braves (Aug. 16-18). The road Interleague schedule features trips to play the Miami Marlins (April 1-3), Cincinnati Reds (April 19-21), Pittsburgh Pirates (May 6-8), Arizona Diamondbacks (June 11-13), San Francisco Giants (June 14-16), Chicago Cubs (July 5-7) and Washington Nationals (Aug. 9-11). In Freeway Series action, the Angels will visit Dodger Stadium for two games (June 21-22) and will host a pair of games at Angel Stadium (Sept. 3-4) in the final Interleague contests of the season.
