ANAHEIM - The Angels Baseball Foundation announced today that it will host its annual Back 2 School Drive at Angel Stadium on August 1, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Approximately 800 school-aged children will receive clothes, school supplies, Angels clothing items, and food from Second Harvest Food Bank.
"The Angels Baseball Foundation is extremely proud to host this annual event to provide school supplies to children in the community as they start a new school year," said Angels Baseball Foundation President, Dennis Kuhl. "We are pleased to support these deserving students in their educational journey and success in school."
The drive will serve students from Anaheim Family YMCA, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Anaheim - Cypress, Project Access, OC Rescue Mission, Easterseals, Girls Inc., and Families Forward. In addition, the San Diego County Credit Union (SDCCU) is partnering with Angels Baseball Foundation to collect monetary donations to purchase supplies for this event through their Stuff the Bus campaign.
The Angels Baseball Foundation was established in 2004 under Arte and Carole Moreno. Together with the Los Angeles Angels, the two organizations have contributed more than $24 million in value toward local causes. The Foundation focuses on improving education, healthcare, arts and sciences, as well as community related youth programs and military engagement through the region.
