The Atlanta Braves today announced their 2018 spring training schedule, with the 33-game slate set to begin on Friday, February 23, with a road game against the New York Mets in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The Braves open the home portion of their spring schedule on Monday, February 26, versus the Washington Nationals at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., and will conclude their exhibition season with a pair of games at SunTrust Park on Monday, March 26 and Tuesday, March 27.
Braves' pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to camp on Tuesday, February 13, with their first workout set for the following day. Atlanta's position players are slated to report on Sunday, February 18, with the first full-squad workout scheduled for February 19. This spring marks the 21st year that the Braves will train at the Wide World of Sports Complex.
Atlanta will play a total of 18 home games against 10 different teams at Champion Stadium, including three games versus the Detroit Tigers and two games each against the New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, Toronto Blue Jays and Washington Nationals. The Houston Astros, New York Mets and Miami Marlins will make one visit each to Disney.
The Braves are scheduled to play a trio of night games at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, including contests against the Yankees (March 9), Phillies (March 12) and Tigers (March 21). All three games are slated for a 6:05 p.m. first pitch.
Atlanta is set to conclude its spring training schedule with a pair of exhibition games at SunTrust Park. The Braves will play host to the New York Yankees in Atlanta on Monday, April 26, before hosting the Braves Future Stars the following night, April 27. Both exhibition games at SunTrust Park are scheduled for a 7:35 p.m. first pitch.
Individual spring training game tickets for the Florida portion of Atlanta's spring training schedule range from $15.00 (general admission lawn seats) to $59.00 (lower level reserved seats), and will go on sale Monday, December 11, through the Atlanta Braves' website (braves.com/springtraining), at the Wide World of Sports box office, and through Ticketmaster (800/745-3000). Tickets for the two exhibitions at SunTrust Park are set to go on sale in January of 2018.
