Battle of the Bay Returns to Oakland on July 31 & August 1

On Friday, July 28 the Oakland A's will welcome the Minnesota Twins to the Oakland Coliseum before playing host to the San Francisco Giants for a two-game series July 31 and August 1.

On Friday, July 28 the Oakland A's will welcome the Minnesota Twins to the Oakland Coliseum before playing host to the San Francisco Giants for a two-game series July 31 and August 1.
The weekend series against the Twins will feature the G-Eazy Bobblehead, presented by Majestic, for 15,000 fans on July 28, the Witches & Wizards postgame fireworks show, presented by XFINITY, on July 29 and the "Holy Toledo" Bill King T-shirt giveaway, presented by Cache Creek Casino Resort, for 10,000 fans on July 30.
The team will rekindle memories of 1989 when the Giants return to Oakland for the 2017 Battle of the Bay, July 31 and Aug 1, presented by Gilead Sciences. On Monday, July 31, 25,000 fans will receive a "Welcome to the Beast Bay" T-shirt and on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 25,000 fans will receive a "Hella Hustle" rally towel. Food trucks and DJs will go head to head on the Championship Plaza before both games for Bay Area bragging rights. The food trucks on the south side of the plaza will feature Oakland-themed items while the north side will feature San Francisco-themed food. DJs from Oakland and San Francisco will also perform from 5:30 - 7 p.m. The A's will also host digital cap trade-ins for both games where fans can turn in their Giants hat for a new A's cap by tweeting @athletics with their seat location.

BAY AREA ALL-STAR SCHOLARSHIP TEAM: The Bay Area All-Star Scholarship Team was formed in 1996 and is a partnership established by the Oakland A's, Golden State Warriors, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, San Jose Earthquakes and San Jose Sharks. The team consists of seven student-athletes, with each award recipient earning a $3,000 scholarship and recognition at various events. This year's A's winner is Christine Chinwuba of Pinole Valley High School.

WITCHES & WIZARDS FIREWORKS: Following the game, the team will host a Witches & Wizards themed fireworks show, presented by XFINITY. Fans can enjoy the show from the outfield grass (space permitting).
CHEVROLET YOUTH BASEBALL CLINIC: Each season, the A's coaches host hundreds of aspiring youth baseball players in a series of Chevrolet Coaches Clinics. Children will participate in pitching, throwing, fielding, catching, base running, and hitting workshops to fine-tune their skills on the field from noon - 2 p.m. Following the clinic, participants receive A's ticket vouchers and coaches' autographs, courtesy of Chevrolet and the Bay Area Chevrolet dealer group.
UMPS CARE VISIT: Families from the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption will participate in a pregame visit on the field with the umpires, as part of the UMPS Care program. Participants will also receive game tickets and a gift bag, courtesy of UMPS Care Charities.
