ATLANTA - The Atlanta Braves today announced the club has signed its top 24 picks from the 2017 First-Year Player Draft. 
Of the 24 signings, 14 are pitchers (five left-handers, nine right-handers), four are catchers, three are outfielders and three are infielders. Including RHP Kyle Wright, who the club drafted fifth overall, 22 of the players who signed are out of college. OF Drew Waters (41^st overall) and RHP Freddy Tarnok (80^th overall) are the two high schoolers to sign with the club. 
The Braves signed five Georgia natives, including Waters (Woodstock, GA) and two Georgia Southern teammates, RHP Landon Hughes (Marietta, GA) and LHP Connor Simmons (Baxley, GA). The club also signed Jackson Lourie (Atlanta, GA), the 24^th-round pick out of Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. Lourie, who pitched and played infield during a four-year career for the Lynx, is the son of Braves' head physician, Dr. Gary M. Lourie. 
The Braves have signed all of their picks from Rounds 1-10 for eight straight years now (2010-2017).
