The Chicago White Sox announced new marketing partnership agreements with four Midwest breweries -- Goose Island Beer Company, Chicago; Pabst Brewery, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Bell's Brewery, Kalamazoo, Michigan; and Founders Brewing Co., Grand Rapids, Michigan. Through a partnership with Lakeshore Beverage, the Chicagoland beverage distributor that partners with the beer producers, each brewery will be featured in a new in-game promotion called "Beer of the Homestand" throughout the season. In addition, the brands will receive prominent in-park exposure through a branded interactive kiosk on the 100 level, presence on the digital LED ribbon boards throughout the ballpark and logo display in the Craft Kave located near the right field bullpen.
"As we build an experience that reflects the evolving tastes of our fans, we are excited to team up with four established regional breweries our fans know well," said Brooks Boyer, White Sox senior vice president of sales and marketing. "Fans will see their favorite brands throughout the ballpark and have the opportunity to connect with each brand in an innovative and engaging way. It's the start of an exciting journey to re-imagine the fan experience at Guaranteed Rate Field."
"Goose Island is thrilled to be part of the expanded beer program at the ballpark with our hometown White Sox. This partnership is such a natural fit, especially since Goose Island is one of Chicago's original craft breweries," said Ken Stout, president of Goose Island Beer Company. "So many of our employees are born-and-raised Chicagoans, and many of them Sox fans. I can't wait for Opening Day!"
"With Lakeshore Beverage's main warehouse being a stone's throw from the Chicago White Sox and Guaranteed Rate Field, we are excited to be working with the White Sox and our brewery partners to deliver a broader beer experience to White Sox fans," said J.R. Hand, president and CEO of Hand Family Companies that own Lakeshore Beverage. "Our nearly 700 Chicagoland employees and I are proud to be a part of Chicago's immense sports community, which will now include both Chicago baseball teams."
