Cleveland Guardians Announce 2023 Cactus League Schedule

Spring Training opener set for February 25 at Cincinnati (Goodyear Ballpark)

The Cleveland Guardians today announced the club’s 2023 Spring Training schedule with the first Cactus League contest scheduled for February 25 as the visiting team against the Cincinnati Reds at Goodyear Ballpark. Cleveland’s first official home game at Goodyear Ballpark will come the following day on February 26 against the Texas Rangers. 

The Guardians will play 15 home games at Goodyear Ballpark and 17 games overall, as they take on the Cincinnati Reds twice as the visiting team during the 2023 spring slate. Cleveland will also play host to a World Baseball Classic team (country TBD) on March 8 as an exhibition warm-up contest for the 2023 tournament. The Guardians wrap up their spring schedule with two exhibition games at Chase Field against Arizona March 27-28.

The Guards will play eight weekend home games at Goodyear Ballpark: 

  • Feb. 26 vs. Texas
  • March 3 vs. Milwaukee
  • March 5 vs. Arizona
  • March 11 vs. Oakland
  • March 18 vs. Seattle
  • March 19 vs. Colorado
  • March 24 vs. Chicago-NL
  • March 26 vs. Cincinnati

Cleveland opens the 2023 season at Seattle on Thursday, March 30. The Guardians Home Opener is scheduled for Friday, September 7 against Seattle.
