Rockies head to Dodger Stadium to start the season on March 31, with the home opener on Friday, April 8.

DENVER – In collaboration with Major League Baseball, the Colorado Rockies announced today the preliminary 162-game schedule for the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

Colorado’s season kicks off with a four-game series at Dodger Stadium, with Opening Day falling on Thursday, March 31. Following an off-day on Monday, April 4, the Rockies will finish the road trip with a two-game set in San Diego, April 5-6. Colorado will then return to Coors Field for their 2022 home opener against the Dodgers on Friday, April 8. After hosting Los Angeles-NL for the weekend series, the Rockies will head to Arlington to face the Rangers for a two-day set, April 11-12, and then return home to host Chicago-NL (April 14-17) and Philadelphia (April 18-20).

The 2022 Interleague Play schedule will feature the American League Central Division as well as the Western Division Texas Rangers; this includes home games against Kansas City (May 13-15), Cleveland (June 14-16), Chicago-AL (July 26-27) and Texas (Aug. 23-24), and in addition to the Texas trip (April 11-12), road games will be at Detroit (April 22-24), Minnesota (June 24-26) and Chicago-AL (Sept. 13-14).

The final seven-game homestand of 2022 will take place against San Francisco (Sept. 19-22) and San Diego (Sept. 23-25). The season will conclude with three games in San Francisco (Sept. 27-29) and then a final three-game set at Los Angeles-NL (Sept. 30-Oct. 2).

The Rockies schedule includes home games for the following holidays: Memorial Day (May 30 vs. Miami), Father’s Day (June 19 vs. San Diego) and Labor Day (Sept. 5 vs. Milwaukee). 

Postgame fireworks are scheduled for Fri., July 1 and Sat., July 2 vs. Arizona, as well as Fri., Sept. 23 vs. San Diego.
