Colorado rockies acquire right-handed pitcher James Farris from Chicago Cubs

The Colorado Rockies announced Wednesday that they have acquired right-hander James Farris from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for right-hander Eddie Butler. Butler was recently designated for assignment by Colorado on Jan. 28. Additionally, the clubs exchanged international slots as part of the trade.
The Rockies currently have a full 40-man roster.
