Colorado Rockies recall outfielders Noel Cuevas, David Dahl

The Colorado Rockies announced Sunday that they have recalled outfielders Noel Cuevas and David Dahl from Triple-A Albuquerque, have placed outfielder Carlos González on the 10-day disabled list (right hamstring strain, retroactive to April 19) and have optioned outfielder Mike Tauchman to Triple A.

The Colorado Rockies announced Sunday that they have recalled outfielders Noel Cuevas and David Dahl from Triple-A Albuquerque, have placed outfielder Carlos González on the 10-day disabled list (right hamstring strain, retroactive to April 19) and have optioned outfielder Mike Tauchman to Triple A.
 
•  Cuevas, 26, will be making his first appearance on the Major League roster … is batting .333 (21-for-63) with eight runs scored, three doubles, three triples, two home runs, 13 RBI, 10 walks, nine strikeouts and two stolen bases across 16 games in Triple-A … the Camuy, Puerto Rico, native was originally acquired by Colorado from Los Angeles-NL as a player to be named later to complete the trade for right-handed pitcher Juan Nicasio on December 16, 2014 … had his contract selected on Nov. 6 of last year, attended his third Major League Spring Training this year and batted .364 (12-for-33) with six runs, two doubles, seven RBI, three walks and one stolen base in 20 Spring Training games … across parts of nine Minor League seasons, has batted .277 (782-for-2825) with 405 runs, 131 doubles, 52 triples, 53 home runs, 369 RBI, 176 walks and 151 stolen bases. •  Dahl, 24, will make his first appearance in the Major Leagues since 2016 after missing all of last season with a stress reaction in his ribcage … originally selected in the first round (10th pick) of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft, the Birmingham, Ala., native has played in six Triple-A games and is batting .231 (6-for-26) with one run, two doubles, five RBI and one stolen base … was placed on the seven-day disabled list April 10 with an illness and was reinstated April 17 … in 63 Major League games in 2016, batted .315 (70-for-222) with 42 runs, 12 doubles, four triples, seven home runs, 24 RBI, 15 walks and five stolen bases … tied a Major League record for the longest hitting streak to begin a career by hitting safely in each of his first 17 Major League games. •  González, 32, re-signed with Colorado on a one-year contract on March 12 … in 20 games, has batted .235 (16-for-68) with eight runs, two doubles, one triple, three home runs, 11 RBI, three walks and two stolen bases … in his career with Colorado, the three-time All-Star has batted .291 (1218-for-4191) with 706 runs, 247 doubles, 36 triples, 214 home runs, 696 RBI, 383 walks and 115 stolen bases … originally acquired via trade from Oakland in exchange for Matt Holliday on Nov. 10, 2008, he has batted .287 (1291-for-4493) with 737 runs, 269 doubles, 37 triples, 218 home runs, 722 RBI, 396 walks and 119 stolen bases across parts of 11 Major League seasons.
