Cubs announce 2019 Spring training schedule

Major League Baseball and the Chicago Cubs today announced their tentative 2019 Spring Training schedule, which begins on Saturday, February 23 at Sloan Park with the club's home opener against the Milwaukee Brewers and concludes with a pair of games against the Boston Red Sox at Sloan Park on March 25 and 26.

CHICAGO - Major League Baseball and the Chicago Cubs today announced their tentative 2019 Spring Training schedule, which begins on Saturday, February 23 at Sloan Park with the club's home opener against the Milwaukee Brewers and concludes with a pair of games against the Boston Red Sox at Sloan Park on March 25 and 26.
The club's tentative 34-game schedule includes 18 games at Sloan Park and 16 Cactus League road games.  Additional games may be added in the future. 
The Cubs and White Sox play twice next spring - Sunday, March 3 in Mesa and Friday, March 15 in Glendale.  The Cubs will host the Colorado Rockies on St. Patrick's Day, Sunday, March 17.
The Cubs and Red Sox will meet during Spring Training for the second year in a row, as the Cubs ended last spring with a pair of games in Fort Myers, Fla.
