D-backs add Las Vegas radio affiliate to network of stations

The Arizona Diamondbacks have added Las Vegas sports station KSHP 1400 as their latest radio affiliate, bringing the total number of stations to 26 that air D-backs baseball throughout the Southwest and Mexico.

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks have added Las Vegas sports station KSHP 1400 as their latest radio affiliate, bringing the total number of stations to 26 that air D-backs baseball throughout the Southwest and Mexico.

The team will host its annual Radio Affiliates Night tomorrow prior to the game against the San Diego Padres, with Hall of Famer and Special Assistant to the President & CEO Randy Johnson serving as a special guest for the event.

KSHP 1400 will join stations in Flagstaff, Globe, Kingman, Lake Havasu, Prescott Valley, Sedona, Tucson, Winslow and Yuma, among others, while KNMZ 103.7 airs D-backs games in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

The team also has four affiliates in Mexico, as stations in Nogales, Hermosillo, Obregon and Cananea all carry the team's Spanish-language weekend broadcasts.

All 162 games every season can be heard locally in Phoenix on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM or brother station ESPN Phoenix 620 AM with Greg Schulte, Tom Candiotti and Mike Ferrin. On Univision Deportes Radio 105.1 FM, Oscar Soria, Rodrigo Lopez and Richard Saenz call the action in Spanish.
