Dodgers Recall Alek Thomas

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled outfielder Alek Thomas and placed outfielder Andy Pages on the injured list with a left hand fracture.

Thomas, 26, joined the Dodgers on May 12 via trade from the Arizona Diamondbacks. He appeared in 59 minor league games with the ACL Dodgers and Triple-A Oklahoma City, slashing .285/.351/.472 with seven homers and 40 RBI. Prior to being designated for assignment on May 8, he played in 28 games for the Diamondbacks, batting .181 with two homers and 10 RBI. He spent five seasons with the D-Backs, playing 448 games and clubbing 31 homers and driving in 143. He was drafted by Arizona in the second round of the 2018 First Year Player Draft out of Mount Carmel High School (Il.).

Pages, 25, left Friday’s game in the fourth inning after being hit by a pitch by Bubba Chandler. The All-Star has played in 128 games, batting .272 with 21 homers and 80 RBI. He is in his third season with the Dodgers and he has played in 400 games with 61 homers and 212 RBI. He was signed by the Dodgers as an international free agent on March 1, 2018 out of La Habana, Cuba.
