LOS ANGELES - The Dodgers return to Los Angeles tomorrow and will take on the Phillies (April 28-30) and Giants (May 1-3) during their third homestand of the season, which will be highlighted by Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully being inducted into the Dodgers' Ring of Honor on Wednesday, May 3. Scully will be on-hand for a very special pre-game ceremony Wednesday, and fans are encouraged to arrive early as a large crowd is expected.
The weekend series against the Phillies, who will be making their only visit to Los Angeles of the season, will include Friday Night Fireworks presented by Denny's (7:10 p.m.), Corey Seager Bobblehead Night presented by Spectrum Saturday (6:10 p.m.) and a Kids Batting Helmet giveaway presented by Hi-Chew on Sunday (1:10 p.m.). Sunday will also mark the season's first Viva Los Dodgers - the team's free family-friendly celebration of Latino culture in Los Angeles and the legacy of Latino Dodgers - which is presented by Spectrum and Coca-Cola, and will feature appearances by Juan Castro, Manny Mota and Sergio Romo. Viva Los Dodgers will take place on the final Sunday home game each month throughout the season, and starts two hours before the game at the historic 76 Station.
The Giants' first trip of the season to Los Angeles will feature three 7:10 p.m. games Monday-Wednesday, including the series finale on Wednesday, May 3, when Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully will become the 11th inductee into the Dodgers' Ring of Honor, joining Pee Wee Reese, Tommy Lasorda, Duke Snider, Junior Gilliam, Don Sutton, Walter Alston, Sandy Koufax, Roy Campanella, Jackie Robinson and Don Drysdale. Fans should arrive early for a special pregame ceremony, and the first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance will receive a Vin Scully Commemorative Microphone Statue presented by Mercedes-Benz Dealers of Southern California. To allow more fans the opportunity to enjoy this special night, the Dodgers will offer a limited number of Reserve Level tickets for $22 available at Dodgers.com/promotions and at the box office.
