Dodgers trade catcher Travis d'Arnaud

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers today traded catcher Travis d’Arnaud to the Tampa Bay Rays for cash considerations.

d’Arnaud, 30, appeared in one game last night after signing with the Dodgers on Sunday. The backstop began the 2019 season with the Mets, going 2-for-23 with two runs in 10 games for New York. In his seven-year Major League career, d’Arnaud is a .242 (329-for-1361) hitter with 47 homers and 164 RBI in 408 games. D’arnaud was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the supplemental first round (37th overall) of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft out of Lakewood High School (Ca.).
