Father's Day Weekend Celebration & 'Have a Catch' Campaign Highlight Homestand

The Orioles will open a seven-game homestand tomorrow when they return home to play a three-game Interleague series against the St. Louis Cardinals, and a four-game series against the defending American League Champion Cleveland Indians.

The Orioles will open a seven-game homestand tomorrow when they return home to play a three-game Interleague series against the St. Louis Cardinals, and a four-game series against the defending American League Champion Cleveland Indians. During the homestand, the Orioles will host Father's Day Weekend at the ballpark with a Father's Day jersey and cap auction, an Orioles Greyscale Cap to all fans 15 and over, and the annual Father's Day Catch on the Field event. The Orioles will also introduce the 'Have A Catch' program, a new youth baseball initiative that encourages children to get outside and play catch.
Additionally, the Orioles will give away DYLAN BUNDY t-shirts to all fans on Wednesday, June 21, and host the season's second fireworks night on Friday, June 16, presented by Maryland EXCELS. As always, students can enjoy a special discount on Friday nights and children ages 4-14 can participate in the post-game Kids Run the Bases presented by Weis Markets following Sunday games. The club will also host more than 1,000 children as part of the OriolesREACH Gameday Experience Program during the homestand.
FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND
To celebrate Father's Day Weekend, the Orioles will host their fourth Father's Day Catch on the Field on Sunday, June 18, prior to the 1:35 p.m. game against the St. Louis Cardinals. The sold-out event includes a pair of tickets to Sunday's game and a 25-minute pregame session of catch on the Oriole Park field. This year's Father's Day Catch on the Field has raised more than $20,000 to benefit the Baltimore Orioles Charitable Foundation.
On both Saturday and Sunday, all Orioles uniformed personnel will wear special uniforms that feature light blue accents. Each player's authenticated, game-worn jerseys and caps will be autographed and auctioned on www.orioles.com/auctions beginning on Saturday, June 17, at 4:00 p.m. and continuing through Saturday, June 24, at 10:00 p.m. with proceeds benefiting the Prostate Cancer Discovery Fund of the Brady Urological Institute of Johns Hopkins Medicine through the Baltimore Orioles Charitable Foundation.
Father's Day weekend festivities begin tomorrow night with postgame fireworks presented by Maryland EXCELS. The Orioles will also honor fathers with an exclusive giveaway on Sunday, as all fans 15 and over will receive an Orioles Greyscale Cap.
ORIOLES LAUNCH #HAVEACATCH CAMPAIGN
Beginning this weekend, the Orioles are introducing a new youth baseball initiative. Expanding upon Major League Baseball's successful PLAY BALL campaign, the Orioles will launch the 'Have A Catch' campaign, a new program designed to encourage children, and fans of all ages, to go outside and enjoy a game of catch.
Beginning this Saturday, the Orioles will host a week-long series of 'Have A Catch' events with local youth organizations including Baltimore City Public Schools, KidsPeace, the Y of Central Maryland, and Buddies, Inc. At each event, children will have an opportunity to have a catch with special guests including The Oriole Bird, Orioles players, Orioles Alumni, Orioles ballboys and ballgirls, Oriole Advocates, and/or Orioles staff from the Orioles On Deck Employee Volunteer Program, presented by Bank of America. Several of the Orioles minor league affiliates, as well as the club's year-round southern home in Sarasota, Fla. will also promote the 'Have A Catch' campaign locally in an effort to expand the program throughout Birdland. As part of the program, the Orioles will donate approximately 500 Major League baseballs, foam baseballs, and youth bat and ball sets to encourage children to play catch.
BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HEROES PROGRAM
Through the Birdland Community Heroes Program, the Orioles recognize community heroes who have inspired others through their spirited commitment to extend a hand in charity, service, hope, and harmony. This recognition honors the heroism of members of our extended Orioles community from all walks of life, occupations, and diverse backgrounds living in our region, our country, and abroad, who have distinguished themselves by selflessly working or volunteering in fields that care for, serve, teach, protect, and improve the lives of others, around the corner or around the globe, who are most in need.
The Orioles recognize local Birdland Community Heroes at Oriole Park during every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday home game.

JUNE 16 - STEVE MORGAN; for his dedication to The Arc Baltimore, an organization that support adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Morgan, who will soon retire after more than 45 years of service, has helped to grow the organization, which now helps more than 6,000 adults and children per year through employment programs and family services.
JUNE 17 - DICK BLACKISTONE; for his volunteer service with The Oyster Recovery Partnership. Blackistone has spent more than seven years and over 3,200 hours collecting oyster shells from local restaurants and educating the public at outreach events. He is an important part of local shell recycling operations, where he helps reclaim used shells, which then are cleaned, aged, seeded, and used to create oyster reefs in the Chesapeake Bay.
JUNE 18 - JOSEPH T. JONES; for his role in developing and growing the Center for Urban Families. CFUF is a Baltimore nonprofit established to empower low-income families by enhancing both the ability of women and men to contribute to their families as wage earners and of men to fulfill their roles as fathers. Jones is now a national leader in workforce development, fatherhood, and family services programming, and through his professional and civic involvement influences policy direction nationwide. Jones has received numerous awards and honors for his leadership and programming including the Johns Hopkins University Leadership Development Program's prestigious Distinguished Leadership Award.
Through the Orioles' Great Americana Music Weekends, the club will also continue the tradition of celebrating American principles and ideals with live performances of classic, American songs during the seventh-inning stretch featuring "This Land Is Your Land" on Fridays, "America, The Beautiful" on Saturdays, and "God Bless America" on Sundays.

STUDENT NIGHTS
Friday nights are Student Nights at Oriole Park. Any student with a valid ID may purchase a Left Field Upper Reserve ticket for only $7 at every Friday home game during the 2017 regular season. Tickets must be purchased at the Box Office ticket windows at Oriole Park in advance or on the day of the game, subject to availability.
FIREWORKS NIGHT PRESENTED BY MARYLAND EXCELS
On Friday, June 16, the Orioles will host Friday Fireworks Night, presented by Maryland EXCELS. Fireworks will be set off approximately 10 minutes following the conclusion of the game. There will be three more Friday Fireworks Nights throughout the season (July 21, August 18, and September 22).
SUNDAY, JUNE 18
MILITARY APPRECIATION PROGRAM PRESENTED BY GEICO
As part of the Orioles' Military Appreciation Program presented by GEICO, the Orioles and OriolesREACH donate a catered private suite at each Sunday home game at Oriole Park to servicemen and women. Military members from the 135th Intel Squadron, Maryland Air National Guard will enjoy Sunday's game from a catered suite, have a meet-and-greet with BRAD BRACH and CHRIS TILLMAN, and receive a player t-shirt and cap.
STEAL SECOND BASE PRESENTED BY ESSKAY
The Orioles will again feature the Steal Second Base contest during every Sunday home game this season. Presented by ESSKAY, the Steal Second Base contest challenges a young fan to race from the grounds crew area in center field to retrieve second base and back. Fans can enter the contest at any Fan Assistance Center. The lucky winner will receive four tickets to that day's game, an Orioles/ESSKAY jersey T-shirt and an Orioles cap. The contestants will also get to keep the authentic base that they steal. The participant for Sunday, June 18, is LUCAS TAYLOR, a 7-year-old from Baltimore.
KIDS RUN THE BASES PRESENTED BY WEIS MARKETS
Sundays are family days at the ballpark, when all fans ages 4-14 will be able to participate in a postgame Kids Run the Bases, presented by Weis Markets. This is the sixth of 13 Sunday home games when kids can round the bases like their favorite Orioles.
MONDAY, JUNE 19
BALTIMORE CITY PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS TO #HAVEACATCH WITH MYCHAL GIVENS
On Monday, June 19, MYCHAL GIVENS will join the Oriole Bird in visiting New Song Academy at Pauline Fauntleroy Park (1335 N Stricker St, Baltimore, MD 21217) from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. as part of the 'Have A Catch' campaign. Students will have the opportunity to play catch with Givens and others in attendance. The Orioles will donate baseballs and youth bat and ball sets during the visit.
ORIOLES ALUMNI AUTOGRAPH SERIES
Every Monday and Thursday home game, former Orioles players will sign autographs on Eutaw Street as part of the Orioles Alumni Autograph Series. On June 19, former Orioles GARY ROENICKE, SCOTT McGREGOR, and RICK KRIVDA will sign autographs from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the autograph location will take place on the Lower Level Concourse near the Fan Assistance Center behind home plate.
MARYLAND PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION CERMEMONIES
On Monday, June 19, and Tuesday, June 20, the Orioles will recognize the champions of the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) Baseball and Softball tournaments, which were held over Memorial Day weekend at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Md. The MPSSAA tournament winners of each division include the following teams: St. Michael's High School (1A Baseball), Bohemia Manor High School (1A Softball), Middletown High School (2A Baseball), North Caroline High School (2A Softball), Poolesville High School (3A Baseball), C. Milton Wright High School (3A Softball), and Northwest High School (4A Baseball & 4A Softball). Each team will also receive tickets to that night's game.

ORIOLES TO VISIT THE OROKAWA Y IN TOWSON TO #HAVEACATCH
On Tuesday, June 20, the Oriole Bird along with Oriole Advocates will visit The Orokawa Y in Towson (600 W. Chesapeake Ave, Towson, MD 21204) from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. as part of the club's 'Have A Catch' program. Children will have an opportunity to play catch with the Oriole Bird and volunteers.
ORIOLES TO HOST BIRDLAND SOCIAL WITH BRAD BRACH & DAN DUQUETTE PRESENTED BY GBMC HEALTHCARE
The Orioles will host "Birdland Social," a Social Media Night event presented by GBMC HealthCare, at Oriole Park on Tuesday, June 20. The exclusive pregame party will take place on the center field Roof Deck with 250 of the Orioles' most engaged social media followers beginning at 5:00 p.m. The event will include question-and-answer sessions with Orioles 2016 All-Star reliever BRAD BRACH (@BradBrach) and Orioles Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations DAN DUQUETTE, hosted by Orioles public address announcer RYAN WAGNER.
Tickets for the Birdland Social pregame party are still available and include access to the private event, a catered menu, a ticket to the game, and an exclusive Brad Brach "Brach Star" Omoji T-shirt. Fans are encouraged to use #BirdlandSocial throughout the event. Social Media Night will continue with promotions and prizes for all fans attending the game including the popular Catch a #Winner promotion during Batting Practice. Fans who retrieve baseballs that have been stamped "#Winner" can redeem them for a special prize at the Orioles Fan Assistance booth. Several lucky fans will be selected at random to snap a selfie with an Orioles player. ACTOR MICHAEL KELLY TO THROW CEREMONIAL FIRST PITCH
On Tuesday, June 20, actor MICHAEL KELLY will be on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. Kelly is best known for his role as 'Doug Stamper' on the award-winning Netflix series House of Cards, which is filmed in Maryland. Kelly also starred in BBC's limited series Taboo and recently wrapped up the National Geographic miniseries The Long Road Home. He is currently in Baltimore producing and starring in the upcoming film All Square.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 21
ORIOLES TEAM UP WITH SOUTHWEST AIRLINES FOR "TRADING PLACES" PROMOTION AND SPECIAL VISIT
On Wednesday, June 21, Orioles pitcher MYCHAL GIVENS and outfielder JOEY RICKARD will participate in the Southwest Airlines "Trading Places" promotion at BWI Airport. The players will take part in a variety of jobs performed by Southwest Airlines employees, including boarding passengers for a departing flight, supporting the arrival of Southwest Airlines aircraft, and more.
14-YEAR OLD CATCHER LUKE TERRY TO PARTICIPATE IN SPECIAL CEREMONIAL FIRST CATCH
The Orioles will host 14-year old LUKE TERRY, an eighth-grade catcher from Cornersville, Tenn., on Wednesday for a special experience at Oriole Park. Terry had his right arm amputated as an infant. Through perseverance and hard work, he has overcome physical challenges on the field and inspired millions of supporters with his determination. Prior to the game, Terry will participate in a ceremonial first catch thrown by a special, surprise guest. He will also join catchers WELINGTON CASTILLO and CALEB JOSEPH, as well as bench coach JOHN RUSSELL, for a personal catching clinic and workout in the afternoon at Oriole Park. The Sheraton Inner Harbor will provide accommodations for Terry's visit. Media are invited to interview Terry and his family at approximately 5:00 p.m. on the warning track behind home plate.
KIDSPEACE TO PARTICIPATE IN #HAVEACATCH EVENT
On Wednesday, June 21, the Oriole Bird along with Orioles ballboys and ballgirls will visit KidsPeace at Meadowbrook Park (5001 Meadowbrook Ln, Ellicott City, MD 21043) from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. as part of the 'Have A Catch' campaign. Families who participate in KidsPeace programs will have a chance to play catch with the Oriole Bird and volunteers.

All fans in attendance for Wednesday's game will receive a DYLAN BUNDY t-shirt. It is the third of five t-shirt giveaways the Orioles will distribute this season.

BUDDIES, INC. TO #HAVEACATCH WITH THE ORIOLE BIRD & ORIOLES ALUMNI
On Thursday, June 22, the Oriole Bird along with former Orioles AL BUMBRY and KEN DIXON will visit Buddies, Inc. at Joseph E. Lee Park (6200 E. Pratt St, Baltimore, MD 21224) from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Youth from the Buddies program will have an opportunity to play catch with Bumbry and Dixon, as well as with the Oriole Bird. Buddies, Inc. is a collaboration of Baltimore City Police and local businessmen and women that offers opportunities for under-privileged inner-city youth to enjoy summer camps and career-education programs.
ORIOLES ALUMNI AUTOGRAPH SERIES

MLB PLAYERS ASSOCIATION CHECK PRESENTATION TO COOL KIDS CAMPAIGN
Prior to Thursday's game, one Orioles player and one Indians player will present a check for $10,000 to the Cool Kids Campaign Foundation located in Towson, Md. The Cool Kids Campaign was co-founded by the late ROB BELANGER, who passed away in December of 2016 from prostate cancer. Rob was the son of Orioles Hall of Famer and Major League Baseball Players Association Special Assistant MARK BELANGER, who passed away after a battle with lung cancer in 1998. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for children who are battling cancer. The funds from the MLBPA and proceeds from other events, including the Ken Singleton Celebrity Golf Classic, enable the Cool Kids Foundation to create rewarding programs for the children and their families.

On Friday, June 23, the Oriole Bird along with volunteers from the Orioles On Deck Employee Volunteer Program, presented by Bank of America, will visit The Weinberg Y in Waverly (900 E 33rd St, Baltimore, MD 21218) from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. as part of the 'Have A Catch' campaign. Youth will have an opportunity to play catch with the Oriole Bird and volunteers.
O'S ZONE RALLY PRESENTED BY BUDWEISER
On Friday, June 23, the Orioles will host an O's Zone Rally presented by Budweiser at Nick's Fish House (2600 Insulator Drive, Baltimore, MD 21230) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Former Oriole LARRY BIGBIE will be signing autographs and taking pictures from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and the Oriole Bird will be on hand taking photos with fans. All fans are welcome to attend.
