Indians announce promotions within baseball operations department

The Cleveland Indians President of Baseball Operations CHRIS ANTONETTI and General Manager MIKE CHERNOFF today announced the following promotions within the club's Baseball Operations Department.

The Cleveland Indians President of Baseball Operations CHRIS ANTONETTI and General Manager MIKE CHERNOFF today announced the following promotions within the club's Baseball Operations Department:
Sky Andrecheck: Vice President, Research and Development
Sky joined the club in 2010, spending the previous three seasons as the club's Senior Director of Research and Development. In the role, he assumes responsibility for the club's analytical systems across Baseball Operations.
Eric Binder: Vice President, Baseball Operations
Eric, who joined the club in 2013, leads the Baseball Operations group in support of the Major League and Player Development staffs and Scouting departments. He will continue to oversee the development and implementation of pitching philosophies and programs throughout the organization.
Lonnie Soloff: Vice President, Medical Services
Lonnie joined the Indians 2003, serving as Head Athletic Trainer from 2003-2014 before becoming Senior Director of Medical Services. He will continue to oversee the Indians' Sports Medicine department throughout the organization.
Alex Merberg: Director, Baseball Operations
Merberg begins his fifth season with the Indians, spending the previous two campaigns as Assistant Director of Baseball Operations. In his current role, he collaborates closely with Player Development, Pro Scouting, Research and Development and Performance Services with a focus on player analysis, process innovation and refining organizational philosophies.
Richard Conway: Assistant Director, International Scouting
Enters his fourth season with the club. In his present role, he will increase his responsibilities in International Operations to coordinate the department's process implementation and information-gathering efforts.
Chris Gale: Assistant Director, International Scouting
Chris also will increase his responsibilities in International Scouting with an emphasis on the scouting process and will continue to contribute to the Professional Scouting department with player assessments and advance work.
Sam Giller: Assistant Director, Baseball Operations
Joining the club in 2016, Sam will increase his management and leadership responsibilities of the club's internal Baseball Operations group, including the department's Fellowship program. He will also continue to provide support in the areas of arbitration and player analysis.
Rob Cerfolio: Assistant, Player Development
Rob shifts from the Amateur Scouting department into Player Development, where he will support and manage the implementation of Player Development programs, plans and processes.
Will Clements: Assistant, Amateur Scouting
Will joined the club in 2018 as the Major League Translator. He will now assist in implementing processes and support our remote Amateur Scouting staff.
Dan Budreika: Coordinator, Professional Scouting
Dan will transition into a front office role in Cleveland, focusing on engagement with our remote staff, departmental administration and player analysis. Spent 2017-2018 as a Professional Scout.
