Indians promote Colon, Adams; D.L McAllister, option Clevinger to AAA Columbus

The Cleveland Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the 2016 Major League roster:
Adams, 29, has spent most of the season on the Columbus roster, going 2-3 with 6 saves and a 4.18 ERA in 24 relief appearances (28.0IP, 31H, 14R/13ER, 8BB, 28SO). He has limited left-handed Triple-A hitters to a .224 (11-49, 3 2B) average against for the year. He was previously with Cleveland from May 22-June 6, posting an ERA of 2.35 in 7 outings (7.2IP, 6H, 2R/ER, 3BB, 12SO, 207 avg., 14.1 SO per 9.0IP).
Colon, 26, has posted an ERA of 0.59 in 13 relief appearances for the Clippers this season (15.1IP, 4H, 3R/1ER, 8BB, 14SO, .083 avg). He was suspended the first 50 games of the season for violating the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program (drug of abuse) and did not make his first appearance until May 31. He is making his debut at the Major League level in his 8th professional season after being selected by Cleveland in the 12th round of the 2009 draft.
