Purchased the contracts of OF MARLON BYRD and LHP ROSS DETWILER from the Triple-A Columbus roster.
Placed OF MICHAEL BRANTLEY (rehab, R shoulder surgery; retro. to 3/25) and OF LONNIE CHISENHALL (L wrist impingement; retro. 3/28) on the 15-day Disabled List.
Designated LHP GIOVANNI SOTO and INF ZACH WALTERS for assignment.
Assigned RHP CRAIG STAMMEN, RHP JARRETT GRUBE, LHP TOM GORZELANNY, C GUILLERMO QUIROZ, INF TODD HANKINS, INF MICHAEL MARTINEZ to Minor League camp.
The Indians are set to open the 2016 Championship Season on Monday, April 4 at home against the Boston Red Sox at 4:05 PM EDT.
