Mariners offer gluten-free & vegan events for fans with dietary restrictions

Safeco Field has earned a reputation for the variety of fresh, locally sourced restaurant-quality food available at games. Next month, Seattle Mariners fans with dietary restrictions will find two special events just for them.
Thursday, May 3rd is Gluten-Free Night and Thursday, May 17th is Vegan Night. Both events have specially priced tickets and include a pregame buffet with a variety of menu items that are sure to please palates.
Gluten-Free Night
Tickets for the special Gluten-Free event are $29 for View Level and $46 for Main Level. All tickets include a pregame selection of gluten-free ballpark fare at Lookout Landing (View Level, next to Section 347). Options include a hot dog bar featuring Hempler's franks with Manini's gluten-free buns and build-your-own Great State Burger with gluten-free buns and burger sauce. Side dishes include baby red potato salad and Caesar salad with polenta croutons. Sodo's own Ghostfish Brewing's gluten-free pale ale will be available as well.
The event is from 5:10 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. (game time is 7:10 p.m. against the Oakland Athletics). Tickets are available online only at Mariners.com/NoGluten. Deadline to purchase for this special offer is 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 2.
Vegan Night
Thursday, May 17, when the Detroit Tigers come to Safeco Field, is Vegan Night with a pregame selection of vegan menu items at Lookout Landing (next to Section 347) from 5:10-6:45 p.m.
Selections include Field Roast vegan franks, build-your-own Great State Burger with Field Roast's vegan patties and fixin's, grilled mixed vegetable sandwich with zucchini, yellow squash, red onions, red peppers and eggplant tapenade, Vietnamese cucumber salad, vegan potato salad and vegan brownies.
Tickets are $32 for View Level and $49 for Main Level. The special offer is available online only at Mariners.com/Vegan deadline to purchase tickets for this event is Wednesday, May 16 at 5:00 p.m.
Gluten-Free & Vegetarian/Vegan at Safeco Field
Centerplate, the Mariners hospitality partner at Safeco Field, offers a selection of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan menu items at concession stands for every game including Field Roast products at Great State Burger in The 'Pen, The Natural, near Section 132 and High Cheese Pizza at Sections 109 and 329. Other vegetarian options include veggie buns at Din Tai Fung (Section 132), macaroni and cheese at Section 243, sandwiches and salads at the Trattoria at Section 216, and sushi rolls and edamame at Hiroshi's Sushi at Section 132. The Hit It Here Café includes gluten-free as well as vegetarian dishes on its menu.
