Mariners recall RHP Andrew Moore from AAA Tacoma

SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today the following roster moves:
Andrew Moore, RHP, recalled from AAA Tacoma.
James Paxton, LHP, placed on 10-day disabled list with a strained left pectoral muscle.
Moore (#48) will be in uniform and available for tonight's (7:10 p.m.) game vs. the Los Angeles Angels.
Moore, 23, was 3-3 with a 3.69 ERA (25 ER, 61.0 IP) with 54 strikeouts in 11 starts with AAA Tacoma. In his six starts with Seattle this season, he is 1-3 with a 5.65 ERA (23 ER, 36.2 IP) with 16 strikeouts and 4 walks over 2 stints (6/21-23 and 7/3-28) this season. The 6-foot, 195-pound right-hander earned the win in his Major League debut on June 22 vs. Detroit. He began the season with AA Arkansas where he was 1-2 with a 2.08 ERA (8 ER, 34.2 IP) with 33 strikeouts and 9 walks in 6 games (5 starts) before being promoted to Tacoma on May 8. In 3 minor league seasons in the Seattle organization (2015-17), he is 17-10 with a 2.72 ERA (90 ER, 297.2 IP) with 263 strikeouts and 52 walks in 59 games (52 starts). He was selected by Seattle in the 2nd round (72nd overall) of the 2015 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Oregon State University.
Paxton, 28, left yesterday's game with a strained left pectoral muscle in the 7th inning against Los Angeles-AL. In 20 starts this season, he was 12-3 with a 2.78 ERA (37 ER, 119.2 IP) with 138 strikeouts, including 7-0 with a 1.92 ERA (11 ER, 51.2 IP) with 59 strikeouts over his final 8 starts. He was named American League Pitcher of the Month for July after going 6-0 with a 1.37 ERA (6 ER, 39.1 IP) with 46 strikeouts in six starts, becoming the first Mariners pitcher to win 6 games in a single month. This is his second stint on the 10-day disabled list after also missing time with a left forearm strain from May 5 (retro to 5/3) to May 30. In parts of five seasons with Seattle, he is 30-18 with a 3.24 ERA (146 ER, 405.2 IP) with 391 strikeouts. He was drafted by Seattle in the 4th round of the 2010 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
