SEATTLE – Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today the following roster moves:

- Jhonny Pereda, C, optioned to Triple-A Tacoma.
Additionally, yesterday the Mariners announced that INF Patrick Wisdom was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma (post-game June 14).
With today’s roster moves, the Mariners 26-man active roster is now full at 26 players.
Raleigh, 29, was placed on the 10-day Injured List on May 14 with a right oblique strain. It marked the first time in his career he has been placed on the Injured List. He appeared in 5 games during a rehab assignment with High-A Everett (1 G) and Triple-A Tacoma (4 G), batting .412 (7x17) with 5 home runs, 12 RBI and a 1.794 OPS.
In 41 Major League games this season, Raleigh is batting .161 (26x161) with 16 runs, 4 doubles, 7 home runs, 18 RBI and 18 walks, with a .560 OPS in 181 plate appearances. The Mariners backstop hit .345 (10x29) and homered 5 times in a 7-game span from April 20-27, a few days before he was sidelined for 3 consecutive games from May 2-4 with soreness on his right side.
Raleigh is coming off one of the best seasons by a catcher in Major League history, and one of the best power-hitting seasons by any player in the history of the sport, reaching 60 home runs and recording 125 RBI for the AL West champion Mariners in 2025. Raleigh started the All-Star Game, became the first catcher to win the Home Run Derby, won the Silver Slugger Award, and finished 2nd in AL MVP voting to Aaron Judge-NYY. Raleigh set single-season records for most home runs by a Mariners player, by a switch-hitter, and by a catcher.
Cal made his Major League debut with the Mariners on July 11, 2021. In 6 seasons (2021-c), he is batting .222 (515x2325) with 329 runs, 99 doubles, 2 triples, 160 home runs, 394 RBI and 284 walks, getting on base at a .309 clip, slugging .472 with a .781 OPS and 123 OPS+. On March 26, 2025, the Mariners and Raleigh agreed to a 6-year contract extension through 2030, with a vesting player option for 2031.
Crawford, 31, was placed on the 10-day Injured List on June 8 (retroactive to June 6) with a right hand contusion. He suffered the injury on a hit-by-pitch by Tigers starter Framber Valdez on June 5.
Crawford has appeared in 55 games with the Mariners this season, batting .228 (44x193) with 31 runs, 5 doubles, 10 home runs, 23 RBI and 34 walks, getting on base at a .356 clip, slugging .409 with a .766 OPS and 121 OPS+.
J.P. is the longest-tenured active Mariners player and has appeared in 8 seasons (2019-c) with the team, batting .249 (841x3375) with 169 doubles, 11 triples, 74 home runs, 349 RBI, 33 stolen bases and 446 walks, getting on base at a .342 clip, slugging .372 with a .713 OPS. He’s appeared in more games than any other shortstop in franchise history and won the AL Gold Glove at the position in 2020.
Pereda, 30, has appeared in 19 games with the Mariners, batting .270 (17x63) with 8 runs, 2 home runs, 4 RBI and 4 walks with an .689 OPS. He had a 9-game hitting streak (5/29-6/12), which marked a career high. The Venezuela native has also appeared in 25 games with Triple-A Tacoma this season, batting .321 (27x84) with 15 runs, 2 doubles, 2 home runs, 8 RBI, a .414 OBP and slugging .417 for an .831 OPS.
Pereda was acquired by the Mariners on Jan. 27, 2026 from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for cash considerations. He appeared in the big leagues with the Marlins (2024), Athletics (2025) and Twins (2025) before making his Mariners debut this season. He originally signed with the Chicago Cubs as an international free agent on April 1, 2013. He has also spent time in the Cubs, Giants and Reds organizations.
