
SEATTLE – Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today the following roster moves:
- P. Crawford, INF, reinstated from 10-day Injured List (right shoulder inflammation).
- Ryan Bliss, INF, optioned to Triple-A Tacoma (post-game April 1).
- Ryan Loutos, RHP, placed on unconditional release waivers.
Crawford, 31, appeared in one game with Triple-A Tacoma on rehab assignment, going 0-for-4 with 1 walk and 1 strikeout.
The 6-foot, 202-pound infielder had a productive 2025 season, batting .265 (151x570) with 69 runs scored, 24 doubles, 12 home runs, 58 RBI, 8 stolen bases and 74 walks, getting on base at a .352 clip, slugging .370 with a .722 OPS. On July 9 at New York-AL, he played his 787th career game at shortstop for the Mariners, passing Alex Rodriguez for the most games played at shortstop in franchise history.
Crawford has appeared in 9 Major League seasons with Philadelphia (2017-18) and Seattle (2019-c), batting .248 (837x3369) with 465 runs scored, 174 doubles, 15 triples, 67 home runs, 344 RBI, 35 stolen bases and 441 walks, getting on base at a .340 clip and slugging .369 with a .709 OPS in 930 career games.
He was acquired by Seattle along with INF Carlos Santana from Philadelphia in exchange for RHP Juan Nicasio, LHP James Pazos and INF Jean Segura on Dec. 3, 2018. Crawford was originally selected by the Phillies in the 1st round (16th overall) of the 2013 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Lakewood High School (CA).
Bliss, 26, had 2 plate appearances with Seattle on March 28 vs. Cleveland, going 0-for-2 with a pair of strikeouts.
The 5-foot-7 infielder appeared in 11 games with the Mariners in 2025, batting .200 (7x35) with 1 run, 1 double, 1 home run, 3 RBI, 2 stolen bases and 4 walks before missing the remainder of the season due to injury. He suffered a torn left biceps on a swing in the bottom of the 2nd inning on April 8, 2025 vs. Houston. While on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma in August, he suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee.
The Burbank, CA native made his Major League May 27, 2024 and has appeared in 45 career Major League games with Seattle, batting .210 (21x100) with 11 runs, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 3 home runs, 12 RBI, 7 stolen bases and a .642 OPS.
Bliss has also appeared in parts of 4 minor league seasons in the Diamondbacks (2021-23) and Mariners (2023-24) organizations, batting .267 (401x1504) with 268 runs, 91 doubles, 15 triples, 51 home runs, 208 RBI and 151 stolen bases, getting on base at a .351 clip and slugging .449 (.800 OPS). He was acquired by the Mariners along with OF Dominic Canzone and INF Josh Rojas from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for RHP Paul Sewald on July 31, 2023.
Loutos, 27, was designated for assignment on March 31.
