Marlins announce Autonation Alley

March 19th, 2019

In expansion of AutoNation’s current partnership with the Miami Marlins, the new social space concept in center field will be known as the AutoNation Alley. The AutoNation Alley is a tiered viewing platform structure with three primary levels. The AutoNation Alley Deck is the lower level and serves as an exclusive group hospitality space that features a unique perspective of the field and game action.

“We are privileged to work with a great local partner in AutoNation that is aligned with our mission of elevating the fan experience at Marlins Park,” said Marlins Head of Partnership Development and Strategy David Oxfeld. “Together with AutoNation, we have found ways to connect with our fans and the community in impactful ways.”

“As a company with roots in South Florida, our focus was to team up with the Marlins in celebrating South Florida fans with this great partnership opportunity,” said Marc Cannon, Executive Vice President and Chief Marking Officer of AutoNation. “Doing business with the Marlins today with the value and creativity they offer outweighs all other sports teams in this market, and in-fact has delivered great results. Together we were able to do great work and make an impact in the community last year and DRV PNK to beat cancer.”

The partnership between the Miami Marlins and AutoNation, America’s largest automotive retailer, will also raise money to support the DRV PNK initiative. One dollar for every ticket sold in the AutoNation Alley Deck will be donated to the cause. Through its DRV PNK initiative, AutoNation is committed to drive out cancer, create awareness and support critical research. AutoNation continues to be a proud supporter of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and other cancer-related charities.

During last season, the Marlins and AutoNation awarded 25 lucky Marlins fans with a 24-month car lease with the Marlins Year of the Fan Sweepstakes, Driven by AutoNation.

The partnership between the Marlins and AutoNation carried over into the offseason as the two organizations surprised nine deserving South Florida families with new cars as part of the Miami Marlins Surprise & Drive presented by AutoNation. Marlins CEO Derek Jeter, Marlins players Brian Anderson, Lewis Brinson, Pablo López and Peter O’Brien, and Marlins alumni Alex Gonzalez, Charles Johnson and Juan Pierre each took part in the surprises. The families were selected by partnering organizations of the Miami Marlins: AutoNation, Guitars Over Guns, Dibia DREAM, Miracle League of Miami-Dade County, Special Olympics Florida – Miami-Dade, and The Education Fund.
