Marlins vs. Mets rained out

March 19th, 2019

The Spring Training game between the Marlins and Mets on March 19, 2019, at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter has been cancelled due to rain. The Marlins will attempt to tie their club-record 11-game Spring Training winning streak when they take the field tomorrow at 1:05 p.m. back at RDCS, where they will be the visiting team against the St. Louis Cardinals. Miami’s current 10-game winning streak stands alone as the second-longest Spring streak in club history, behind the 11-game run from February 28-March 8, 1997, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

The Marlins made three transactions today: LHP Jarlin García was optioned to Triple-A New Orleans, and RHP R.J. Alvarez and LHP Brian Moran were reassigned to Minor League camp. Miami now has 42 players in Major League camp.
