—MEDIA ADVISORY—
ALL 2026 SPRING TRAINING AND REGULAR SEASON CREDENTIAL REQUESTS MAY BE MADE ONLINE BEGINNING TODAY
Print Media Note:
Those receiving credentials through the BBWAA do not need to apply for Yankees-issued credentials. However, Sports Assignment Editors should e-mail credentials@yankees.com to indicate which staff will be using BBWAA cards during 2026 spring training and the regular season.
All 2026 New York Yankees media credential requests for spring training and the regular season must be completed at https://credentials.mlb.com.
The online application is the only acceptable method for requesting credentials for the aforementioned events. Applications must be completed by a Sports Assignment Editor. No other applications or requests will be processed.
Media outlets requesting credentials are required to have an affiliate profile before initiating the online process and must upload a current headshot for each individual for whom a credential is being requested. Those who have previously applied for a Yankees credential or for a Major League Baseball jewel event credential (such as the 2025 All-Star Game or any 2025 postseason series) have an established profile. All media outlets that have not previously applied online for media credentials through the Major League Baseball website must email the New York Yankees Media Relations Office at credentials@yankees.com to create their affiliate profile.
All requests must be submitted by a Sports Assignment Editor. You may not request a credential for yourself. You will need to upload all of the following details for each individual for whom you are requesting a New York Yankees event credential. Photos are required for ALL New York Yankees events:
- Name, e-mail address and phone number
- Job description (e.g. reporter, cameraperson, producer, etc.)
- JPEG format color headshot measuring 1” x 1” with at least 300 dpi resolution
FOR SPRING TRAINING CREDENTIALS
The online application is the only acceptable method for requesting spring training credentials. Applications must be completed by a Sports Assignment Editor. Please note that spring-long George M. Steinbrenner Field spring training credentials will only be issued to individuals who cover the team for at least one full week in Tampa. Applications for spring-long credentials at GMS Field must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2. Media applying for daily credentials at GMS Field during spring training must submit applications by 3:00 p.m. the day prior to the date requested.
On workout days & home game days, approved credentials will be available at the Steinbrenner Field Press Gate, located on the first-base side of the stadium adjacent to the ticket windows.
For road games, credential requests should be submitted via the home team’s section on the MLB Credentials website. As a courtesy, please notify credentials@yankees.com of your coverage needs.
FOR FULL REGULAR SEASON CREDENTIALS
Please note that full regular season credentials will only be issued to individuals who cover at least 40 regular season home games. Applications must be submitted no later than Friday, March 13.
Approved credentials may be picked up on any home game day at the Press Gate, located on E. 161st Street between Gate 4 and the ticket windows. You may only pick up your own credential — pickups for colleagues or acquaintances will not be permitted. Photo ID is required.
FOR DAILY REGULAR SEASON CREDENTIALS
The online application is the only acceptable method for requesting a regular season daily credential. Applications must be completed by a Sports Assignment Editor. Applications will close at 3:00 p.m. the day prior to the home game requested.
Daily credentials can be picked up on game days beginning five hours prior to the start of night games and four and a half hours prior to day games at the Yankee Stadium Press Gate, located on E. 161st Street between Gate 4 and the ticket windows.
