FLUSHING, N.Y., May 23, 2019 – The New York Mets announced today that the club has claimed outfielder Aaron Altherr off waivers from the San Francisco Giants and designated RHP Tim Peterson for assignment.

Altherr, 28, has 53 doubles, 10 triples, 36 homers and 148 RBI over 333 career major league games with the Phillies and Giants.
